Our Process
Below is a general description of the process Precision Stoneworks will use to ensure that your granite countertops are cut and installed in a timely and efficient manner that meets your needs, goals and objectives for the project.
Exceptions are frequent of course and we pride ourselves in our ability to adapt to the needs of a particular project when needed, but here’s a general description of how the process of putting our custom granite and natural stone countertops into your home works:
1Survey
Homeowner:
Provide initial determinations about the objectives and scope of the project & provide approximate measurements if necessary.
Precision Stoneworks:
- Prepare concept sketch to be used later.
- Provide rough cost estimate based on approximate square footage (if color selections have been determined)

2Select
Homeowner:
- Visit wholesaler to examine/select slab(s)
- Determine color choice and options like edge finishes, corner radiuses, sink and faucet selections etc.
Precision Stoneworks:
- Provide timely advice, expertise and recommendations to enable the homeowner to make the best decisions

3Template
Homeowner:
- Schedule templating visit
- Ensure job site is ready for templating by the appropriate date and necessary work on any concurrent building/remodeling (i.e. flooring, tile, cabinets etc.) is complete before templating
- Review and approve final quote
Precision Stoneworks:
- Prepare detailed drawings and/or templates to be fabricated
- Provide detailed final quote

4Fabricate & Install
Homeowner:
- Work with us to determine appropriate installation timetable and schedule installation
- Ensure that installation site is accessible and ready on the install date, i.e. no conflicts with any concurrent remodeling/construction (flooring, tile, cabinets etc.)
Precision Stoneworks:
- Fabricate and install countertops
